Sock Nazi

I am the Sock Nazi. I hoard socks and no one is allowed to have socks without my permission. If they come for a second pair of socks in one day, they have to have a DANG good reason. Does anyone else have sock issues? I swear, I have socks everywhere! All over the house, in the car, on the trampoline, the deck, my make-up bag. And they're not my socks. They're the little sweat socks with the gray ankles and toes. Yes, my children are extremely irresponsible with socks. They wear them outside without shoes and turn them black and get them soaking wet. Then they come in the house, track their dirty, wet little foot prints all over and eventually take them off and randomly toss them. THEN... they have the nerve to go and get a nice, clean, new pair on!!!! We have a one pair of socks a day policy around here! I have to hoard them, or things just get completely out of control.

Yes, you have issues, but they can be overcome!Certain family members tend to always leave their socks everywhere. They even have favorite places to leave them. I used to get so crazy and mad over, well...Socks. I realized that I was spending way too much time being mad at socks & those that left them. Now I try to consider them more like reminders of where my favorite people have been. You'll be glad to not have our Josh in your house. Once his socks are off, he HAS to put on a new pair. He can't stand "old" socks. Good luck!

I am seriously laughing so hard right now. I have new insight, I think I may start being the sock nazi! We have a pile of socks right now that I don't want to throw away, but I think today is the day. Thanks for the sock advice!

AMEN!!! Yes exactly... this is so funny, we have that same rule, the kids are ok for the most part, I finally went and bought more so they have a TON, cause I was sick of not having any clean socks ever!!! My suggestion, go buy a few more cause you really do go thru em like crazy but also If they don't pick them up when they should just make them go without the next time they go to wear them... they may get sick of having to have bare feet... I tell my kids if they want to take them off, they have to put them in their shoes...
? ? ? Good luck I feel your pain.

: ) I have a sock in MY dresser dediacted to single socks with no matches. I hate socks! Yes, they are everywhere!! My sister always tells my kids to put them in their shoes--good idea, jen. I forget to tell them this. One pair a day, hmmm. I'm liking this idea . . .

Hey, I just added you to my blog friends. I totally agree with you on the sock issue. What I don't get is how you know you put all the socks in the wash and then when you fold them and there are like 3 missing socks. Marty and I had this discussion a few days ago.
